And the pile of crap keeps getting deeper..

Sorry. Usually I try to keep this clean...but there are some things that can only be described with one word, crap! I don't know if I mentioned it or not...but my husband has been in the sex offender counseling program for 7+ years and its a 2 year program. All compliments of his PO. Well, there was an issue with his medical records and he complained. So because of his complaint the head honcho at this counseling practice in cahoots with his PO, removed my husband's present therapist from his case. His therapist has been with him almost 6 years. They assigned another therapist...who is a supervisor at this practice and was also directly involved with the incident concerning his records. More stuff happened but unfortunately I can't say. But as his therapist was saying why she was removed and basically saying good bye...I was so angry I was shaking. (Yes, when I can, I go with my husband. After all we are in this together!) My husband noticed and he said he figured it wasn't because I was cold. So how much more is my husband expected to endure? How much more crap is his PO going to make him go through? Are all PO's like this? Determined to make their charges fail in any way they can...even if they have to make something up? Or did my husband just draw the short straw? I hope someone out there will share their experiences with their PO. That way I can tell if they are all that way or just my husband's. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that my husband will not say he is guilty of the crime he was convicted of. Why would he say he was guilty when he did not do it? So his PO is just trying to break him....Oh well...what comes around goes around.

Please share with me....

OMG Dee, I'm so sorry to hear that about him, and I suppose, since you asked, you'll be happy to hear my story. The first one I got when I got out was a jerk, and just read me the riot act, and I only saw him a few times, but then shey switched to another, and he was much nicer, and he didn't stay long either, and then I got my regular one I had the rest of the 3 years, and this guy was COOL!!! I mean he was my PO, but he would go way out of his way to help me so my work schedule wouldn't have to suffer for appointments, and after seeing the mandatory counseling doctor, she cleared me from future visits. (I did end up having to see one, once a month, it wa srequired by law, but that was the bare minumum, and then after a year or so they cancelled that. And most parolees have to go into thew office at least once a month and pee test, and my Parole Officer was soo damn cool he didn't even make me drive up there once a month, hejust would call me on random days anytime in the month, I mean just ONE vistit, but at random times, and so after like 18 months of that and never having a dirty test, he knew I wasn't fooling around. Anyway, I kid you not when I say that I COULD NOT have asked for a better PO. He was fair, extremely kind, and considerate, and for the 95% majority of my parole, I did perfect. I did get arrested for drunk in public one time and had to serve 60 days in jail on a parole violation, but that allowed me to change out of the horrible job I had, to the much better one I have now. All things work together. Anyway, of course it helped that I was basically a model parolee, but it is all in the person, cuz I knew another guy who was always going back to prison on violations, and when I mentioned how cool this particular PO was, he had the same guy and he said NO WAY!! He said horrible things about him, so that tells you. Anyway, there are fair POs, I know, I had one. I did have two separate raids by the Department of Justice during my 3 year parole term, but those are another story.... LOL Obviously it all worked out!!

Glad to hear that Matthew! I guess it depends on if you dare challenge his authority. See, my husband was told to register as a sex offender over 5 years ago. Since he was not required per MD State Law...he kept winning injunctions. This last time, His PO lied to Sheriff's Dept and said there was a court order. Yes...there's a fight in the works. LOL
